Rebecca, the lead designer and owner of Rebecca Marilyn Design (RMD) was looking for a website and wordmark for a new branch of her business and online store — RMD Shop. She also needed more consistency across the two brands within her company representing her signature clean, elegant design style and mission to “design a life you love”.

  • The inspiration and mood for the websites and new wordmark was determined by Rebecca’s design style, the current RMD brand, and competitor analysis. Rebecca’s classic and timeless design style needed a clean website to present her work for a seamless user experience.

  • Working with the existing RMD brand, I streamlined the colour palette and typography within the website, then provided a fresh layout for the landing page highlighting updated images of the client’s projects and services.

    With the launch of RMD Shop, the new sub-brand needed to coordinate with the current RMD look, but also make a distinct difference that you are entering a new category of the brand. The use of script in the RMD Shop wordmark provides a visual indication that you’ve entered a new space while the serif typeface connects to the original RMD wordmark creating unity within the brands. The focal point of both landing pages is to highlight the services and products RMD provides.
